The French Riviera is often called the Cote d’Azur. It is on the Mediterranean coastline in the southeast corner of France.

Nice on the French Riviera is a city of beaches, wonderful markets, and splendid museums. The Cote d’Azur is a destination haven for those in search of glitz and excitement. You can enjoy the lively towns of Cannes, Nice, and Monaco.

Sometimes we have clients who visit the French Riviera following a barge trip or perhaps they’ll have a couple days to visit as their cruise ship docks at Villefranche-sur-Mer or Monaco. Whatever you need, we can make this visit to the French Riviera memorable!

Not far from the crowds of the French Riviera cities, you can escape to the tiny coastal towns or to hilltop villages. The calmer, more whispered seaside villages of Beaulieu, Menton, or Cap Ferrat are escapes from the lively cities! The hilltop medieval villages of Sainte-Agnès offer magnificent panoramic views of the sea and mountains. In St. Paul-de-Vence tourists can browse through shops and galleries set on narrow winding cobblestone streets. In Vence, you can immerse yourself in an authentic French Riviera village.

Throughout the region are charming country homes and terraced private villas overflowing with colorful flowers. Menton is a beautiful town close to the Italian border. Decisions!  Decisions! It can be overwhelming to figure out what to do when and where to go how. We’re ready to help you customize your trip.

Wherever you travel in the South of France, you’ll want to return for more. Let us help you with your plans and then you’ll know that you’re maximizing your time and enjoyment. Whether you need a transfer upon your arrival in Nice, or you would like to take a private French Riviera tour from a cruise ship that is arriving on the Riveria, or you need accommodations in Cannes, A Paris Travel is ready to help! Please see our Riviera Private Excursions from Cruise Ships page for further information.

Travelers to the French Riviera always want to return. Perhaps it’s the draw of the sunshine and setting calling them as it did Renoir, Chagal, Picasso, and Matisse. Perhaps it’s the fashionable Cannes shops. It might be the Grand Casino in Monte Carlo or a quiet stroll through the perched village of Tourtour.
