Day 1: Edinburgh, Loch Lomond, Ben Nevis, Portree
From Edinburgh, you will head west to Glasgow. Your first stop will be at the picturesque conservation village of Luss. Luss is situated on the 'Bonny, Bonny banks of Loch Lomond'.
Heading north via Tyndrum, you will pass over the desolate Rannoch Moor before enjoying time walking the dramatic Glencoe Valley. This place was the site of the massacre of the MacDonald Clan in 1692.
After lunch in the Fort William area, there will be a special stop for photos at Ben Nevis, Scotland's highest mountain. Then, there will be a stop at Glen Garry and the Five Sisters of Kintail, a stunning mountain range.
The day will end in the charming village of Portree, located on the Isle of Skye.
Overnight in Portree.
Day 2: Talisker distillery, Dunvegan Castle or Uig and the Black Houses
After breakfast, you will depart Portree for a full day's touring. The options include a visit to Talisker distillery and Dunvegan Castle or a trip to Uig and a stop to visit Flora MacDonald's grave and the unique Black Houses. The Black Houses were once the ancient dwellings of the Scottish Highlanders.
The day will continue to view Duntulum Castle and to take pictures of Kilt Rock. There's a lovely walk at the Lealt Falls.
The day ends with a chance to admire the Old Man of Storr rock formation before returning to Portree.
Overnight in Portree
Day 3: Eilean Donan Castle, Fort Augustus, Pitlochry
Today begins with a descent to the famous Eilean Donan Castle. This was used as the backdrop for the movie 'Highlander'. Founded in the 13th Century, it was destroyed in the 18th Century and rebuilt in the 20th century.
The tour continues to the picturesque village of Fort Augustus for lunch and to enjoy views of Loch Ness.
Next stop is Laggan, a village in the Highland region of Scotland where the Gaelic language survived the longest. It's in the Cairngorms National Park. Nearby are the Grampians, one of the three major mountain ranges in Scotland giving vistas of beautiful scenery.
Before returning to Edinburgh, the last stop for refreshments will be in the Victorian resort town of Pitlochry. Queen Victoria visited in 1842 and it's a very special little town.
