Wales Five Day Tour WT

Wales Cliffs

Enjoy a tour to Wales with a private guide. Beginning with a pickup from your flat or hotel in London, you will depart for Wales. Medieval Welsh folklore abounds - heroes who leap on bubbles without breaking them - missionary saints who sail the seas on leaves - they are kept alive in a country of remote mountains.

Wales is a place with much variety --a place with sparkling lakes, windswept cliffs, and people who still speak Welsh (a language which seems to be lacking vowels!).

Tour Price for driver guide and transportation. The prices don't include your entrances, meals, or accommodations. However, A Paris Travel would be happy to book your accommodations, so contact us about this Wales tour.

Walking the Pembrokeshire Coast of Wales

In May of 2008, we took a 10 day walking trip of the Pembrokeshire Coast of Wales with friends from Bellingham, Washington. The weather was excellent for most of our trip. We flew into Bristol, England and then took a train to Bath, England where we spent the night. The next day we toured historic points of interest in Bath, including the Roman Baths and the magnificent Bath Abbey.

After our time in Bath, we departed by train to the Pembrokeshire Coast of Wales. Our hiking adventure began in Little Haven, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. It ended 10 days later in Fishguard. We spent most nights in bed and breakfast inns. To lighten our load during our hikes, we sent our bags by taxi each morning to the next bed and breakfast inn on our itinerary.

There were many highlights from our trip, but two stood out from the others. The first was a stop in St. Davids, a small cathedral city the size of a village built on the site of the monastery founded by St. David in the 6th Century. We planned our hike so we could attend a Baroque music concert at St. David's Cathedral during the annual St. Davids Cathedral Festival. The music and the setting inside the cathedral were splendid!

The second highlight from our trip was in Fishguard were we ended our hiking trip. We were fortunate to attend a portion of the Fishguard Folk Festival that was held in the Royal Oak Pub in Fishguard. Again, the music and the setting were delightful.

See the slide show below for highlights from our hiking trip to the Pembrokeshire Coast of Wales and do contact A Paris Travel if you are interested in booking one of the tours to Wales that are listed above or you would like to work with us to plan your customized trip to Wales, walking or otherwise..
