Be a Soldes Survivor…

I just received this information from one of my Paris partners in France who arranges airport transfers for me. (Thank goodness I haven't arranged a transfer for tomorrow, but I venture to surmise that there are travelers arriving at Charles de Gaulle tomorrow...)

I'm a fan of France (as you may have suspected), but the region of Normandy holds a very sweet spot in my heart for many reasons. I'll save those reasons for another day's blog because today I want to tell the world about what's coming up in Normandy in 2013. 

We all want a souvenir of Paris. (In fact, the verb "souvenir" means "to remember" in French). Where you'll shop depends upon what you're looking to buy and the amount you wish to spend. Here are some ideas to get you started! The Reunion des musees nationaux can be found in most museums in Paris (such as the Louvre, the Orsay, the Pompidou Center, etc.). These are boutiques with books, posters, jewelry, postcards, scarves, reproductions, and many exclusive reproductions. Perhaps you're searching for a gift related to cinema, opera, or science. Check out the bookshop of the Cinematheque francaise in Bercy or the boutique of the Comedie-Francaise, or the boutique at the Opera Garnier.
