You'll also have an orientation of this wonderful provincial town before your first Champagne visit.

Mumm Champagne will be your first tasting! The Mumm Champagne house was started on March 1, 1827 by three brothers, Jacobus, Gottlieb and Phillip Mumm. These brothers were German winemakers from the Rhine valley and together with G. Heuser and Friedrich Giesler, they created one of the most famous Champagnes.

Lunch is on your own in Reims downtown. There's an excellent selection of cafes and small bistros for salads, sandwiches, and light lunches.

In the afternoon, you'll drive to Epernay for a guided visit of the Moet and Chandon cellars (or Achille Mercier) with wine-tasting. The Champagne house Moët and Chandon was started by Claude Moët in 1743. Today, the property includes more than 2500 acres and produces about 26 million bottles of Champagne annually.

Your Champagne bus tour will return to Paris. in the early evening.

Please note: In January and February (and occasionally throughout the year), the visit to Mumm or Moet & Chandon will be replaced by Achille Princier's cellars.
