 Your Fontainebleau tour begins with a pickup at at your Paris hotel or apartment.

Chateau de Vaux le VicomteYour tour will start with Fontainebleau Palace to have an audio guided tour inside the castle. Fontainebleau was designed by King Francois I and the styles of Roman and Florentine architecture make it unique.

A short drive through a forest will bring bring you to Barbizon, a village made famous in the 19th century by the artists Millet, Rousseau, and Stevenson. The artists wanted to paint from nature in a realistic style so the subjects were peasants doing everyday work.

Next place in this tour will be the Castle of Vaux le Vicomte where you will first have lunch.

After lunch, you will have an audio-guided tour of the main rooms of the Castle of Vaux le Vicomte, a beautiful castle built by Nicolas Fouquet in 1657. At the time of the construction, Fouquet was Louis XIV's Finance Minister. You'll have some free time to explore the castle and gardens on your own before your return to Paris to your hotel or apartment.
